There aren't a busting lot!
General
-Ski type is mainly aimed at Stand ups, but blasters
are welcome, although there is no blaster class.
-No engine size, type or make restrictions, as with hulls - use what you
like.
-Your ski needs to a tow loop through the front bow eye.
-Personal Flotation Device and Helmet must be worn during competition.
-Each rider will have to wear a colour vest.
On Water
-Incoming or surfing riders always have
priority over out going riders. Out going riders must yield the wave.
-Each heat will last for 6 minutes, with 2 riders on the water in each heat.
-A raised green flag and horn will start the heat, a yellow flag and horn
will signal 1 minute left, and a raised red flag will signal end of heat.
-Waved red flags denotes heat stopped, return to shore.
-If your ski fails in the first minute, crossing your out-stretched arms
above your head will stop the heat and give you 3 minutes to fix or take a
different ski.
-At the end of each heat, return straight back to shore and pass vest to
next rider.
Scoring
-The 2 riders will be individually scored using the
this score sheet.
-Each trick has a difficulty multiplier, and the points are totalled up -
the more tricks, the more points.
-Only the first 4 types of one trick, including variations, will be
counted, even if say the first attempt was poor or aborted.
-Tricks need to be using the wave - flat water freestyle tricks between
waves will not be scored.
-Time permitting on Sunday, we hope to run 2 heats for everyone, with the
top 4 riders having a ride-off at the end of the day.
